Located in the heart of a traditional farming community, we champion fresh West Country produce, sourcing our meat, fish, vegetables and other ingredients from local butchers, farmers and suppliers wherever possible.  Our carefully crafted slow-cooked dishes are rich in flavour and beautifully presented – nothing leaves the kitchen until it is just right.

The twist in our culinary tale is Nicolas himself; a Michelin-accredited French chef from the Vendée region of Western France, he brings years of fine dining experience and an encyclopaedic knowledge of wine to the heart of rural Devon. Traditional dishes are elevated to another level of taste and hints of classic French cuisine pepper his seasonal menus.

Our menus change on a weekly (and sometimes daily) basis depending on what is in season, the weather and what we think you'd like to eat.

We also have our own coffee shop, Le Ram's Café, which is open in the snug on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays serving fresh pastries and French light bites.

Please get in touch if you would like to find out more about what we are serving today or if you have any allergies or dietary requirements.  All of our dishes can be served in child sizes and repriced accordingly - or we can rustle up something new for our younger guests if they are not tempted by the menu.

Le Ram's Café and dinner menus are both available at lunchtimes on Thursday, Friday and Saturday between 11am and 2.30pm.

Appearing in the Camra directory we are proud to have at least two delicious local guest ales and a Devon cider on tap.  We also have Jeremy Clarkson’s Hawkstone cider, our gin selection is great and a member of our team was a professional mixologist in a previous life so we can pretty much conjour up anything you like (dog treats appear as if by magic too!)

And it goes without saying that we also serve a great range of non and low-alcohol drinks.

So, snuggle up on a sofa in front of our roaring fire, dine by candlelight, perch at our welcoming bar, bask in the sun on the Mediterranean terrace or host a party for friends and family in our private dining room – whatever the weather or the occasion it will be absolutely lovely.
